GENERAL CANDLE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Trim your candle wicks to ¼ inch (7 mm) before each use to ensure an even burn and prevent a fire hazard. 

2. Never leave burning candles unattended. Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.

3. Remove labels and wrapping before lighting.

4. Place in a well ventilated, draught free location.

5. Never burn on or near flammable or heat sensitive surfaces.

6. Under no circumstances should any product that generates heat, flame or fragrance be placed directly onto antique, valuable or highly polished furniture.

7. Do not position candles or fragrance products on or near electrical appliances, TV cabinets or any secondary heat source.

8. Never burn a candle for longer than three hours at a time.

9. Keep wax pool free from foreign matter and wick debris. Remove if present.

10. Always use candles and fragrance products on an appropriate tray or plate.

11. Under no circumstances should a candle be placed directly on a table or any other surface that may be subject to damage.

12. Discard container candles if the jar is cracked, chipped or broken.

13. Don’t burn candles completely.

14. Discard when a pillar candle wax is 2cm from the bottom or 1cm from the bottom for container or votive candles.

15. Never move a burning candle.

16. Allow to cool after extinguishing before touching.

17. Keep the candle flame well away from flammable or combustible materials. 18. When lighting a candle using a match, take care to prevent any match debris from dropping onto the candle.
